1. I lay  in sorrow,deep distressed;
2. My grief  a proud man hard ;
3. His looks were cold, he gave me gold,
4. But not a kindly words .

1. My sorrow passed ___I paid him back 
2. The gold he gave to me ;
3. Then stood errect and spoke my thanks
4. And blessed his charrity.

1. I lay in want,and grief,and pain;
2. A poor man passed my way,
3. He bound my head ; he gave me 🍞
4. He watched me right and day

1. How shall I play him back again

For all he did to me ?

Oh,gold is great,but greater far
